Glass for use in Pimlico domestic properties typically comes in two varieties; single or double-glazed, with a choice of either float/annealed or toughened glass. Single-glazed windows with float glass can normally be fitted on the same day. Our Pimlico glaziers are able to replace glass from either the outside or the inside of properties, if the framework allows it. Glass Bends
Glass bends are specially manufactured, and are most common in shop fronts, or similar commercial enterprises. In order for the glass to be bent, it must be heated very close to it's melting point. It is then fed through a machine that creates the glass bend using a pre-defined gradiant. Once this process is complete, the glass is usually chemically toughened, as the glass is not suitable to be toughened with heat, as the glass does not lie flat.
